Legislator Beedenbender has lived in the 4th Legislative District for over 20 years. He grew up in Selden, and now resides in Centereach. He is a product of the Middle Country School District, and a graduate of Newfield High School. Following high school, Brian received his B.A. in Political Science and Public Administration from James Madison University in Virginia. After JMU, he attended the University of Delaware, where he received his M.A. in Political Science and International Relations.

After graduation, Brian began working for County Executive Steve Levy as a Legislative Aide and then County Executive Assistant for Intergovernmental Relations. For 3 ½ years he helped the County Executive craft his general fund tax cut budgets, draft legislation, and instill smart government principles throughout Suffolk County.

In November of 2007 Brian was elected to the Suffolk County Legislature representing the 4th Legislative District. As your Legislator, he will work to make Suffolk County government a more transparent and accessible government, at the lowest possible cost to the taxpayers.
